We are delighted to report that our salon transformation is progressing amazingly well. We now have four style stations (that's one extra), each with its own floor length silver mirror, creating more space for our customers!
Experienced therapist Sam, who heads up our beauty boutique, is also very excited by the changes: 'It's going to be fabulous for our clients. We're creating more light and space and a beautiful environment in which to relax. We have also just introduced a new product line, Natural Elements, which is kind to skin and will produce amazing results.’
Here are Sam’s top tips for how to give yourself a DIY facial in between salon appointments:
1 Clean skin – thoroughly remove all of your make-up and gently wash your face, neck and ears with a good quality cleanser suitable for your skin type.
2. Exfoliate – using your fingers, gently rub an exfoliating facial scrub in small circular movements all over your face and neck. It is essential that you use a product especially formulated for the delicate skin of the face and neck as a body scrub is too harsh. Don’t forget your lips and pay a little extra attention to particularly oily areas.
3. Open your pores – to facilitate a deep clean, hold a clean, warm washcloth over your face for a minute, to open up and deep cleanse. This will also ensure that the products you go on to use will penetrate and do good!
4. Mask – use a suitable mask for your skin type. For oily skin you could choose one with clay to draw out impurities and balance the skin; or for drier complexions, choose one that is nourishing and hydrating. Leave on as instructed and then ensure that you remove gently and thoroughly – never rub harshly and always take the time to treat your skin with respect.
5 Moisturise – once again choose a moisturiser most suited to your skin. A light formulation for oily skins; a more indulgent cream for those with drier complexions.
If you are not sure of your skin type, then pop into the salon and speak with Sam who will be delighted to take a look and explain the best products for you.
